Privacy Policy: Markdown Studio for Jira

This policy explains how Ryan Vincent Pyke (ABN 79 604 024 961) ("we", "us") handles information in connection with Markdown Studio for Jira (the "App"), an app for Atlassian Jira Cloud.

The short version

The App does not collect, store or share your data. It runs entirely on Atlassian's platform, works only inside your Jira site, and makes no network requests to us or anyone else.

What the App does with your information

To let you write in Markdown, the App reads and writes Jira issue descriptions and comments through Jira's own API, acting as you and with your Jira permissions. To support @mentions, it looks up people who can see the issue (their display name and account id) when you type "@".

This information is processed only in your browser while the editor is open, to show the editor and preview and to save your changes back to Jira. When you close the editor, the App keeps nothing.

What we collect

Nothing. The App has no server of its own, no database and no analytics, telemetry or tracking. We cannot see your issues, comments or any other Jira content.

Where your data lives

Your content stays in your Jira site, under your organisation's agreement with Atlassian. Atlassian's privacy policy applies to Jira and the Forge platform: https://www.atlassian.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Sharing

We don't share any data, because we don't receive any. The App uses no third-party services.

Information you send us directly

If you email us for support, we use your email and what you tell us only to help you, and keep it only as long as needed to resolve your request (and any legal record-keeping obligations).

Children

The App is a business tool and is not directed at children.

Your rights

Because we hold no data from the App, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. For support emails, contact us at support@pykeapps.com to access or delete that correspondence.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above and publish the new version at this address.
